Suanpan Terms of Service

By using Suanpan (the "Service") you agree to these terms.
1. What this is
A personal finance ledger, built and run by an independent developer.
- Basic — ledger, multiple accounts, lending and borrowing, favour book, charts, cloud sync, daily backup, up to three devices
- AI (separate subscription) — AI entry, editing existing entries, monthly and yearly reports, feature Q&A
2. Accounts
- An email address is required. Use one you actually read — password reset depends on it
- You are responsible for activity under your account. Do not share your password
- Three devices at a time. When you exceed that, the least recently used device is signed out
3. Subscription and payment
- Prices and refunds: see the Refund Policy
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled
- Payments and refunds are handled by Creem (creem.io)
- After expiry there is a 7-day grace period: your ledger stays readable and writable, AI features stop immediately
- If you do not renew after the grace period the app locks, but your data is not deleted — and the lock screen still lets you export a backup
4. Your data
- Your data is yours. We do not use it to train models, sell it, or serve ads
- You can export it as JSON at any time

5. Limits of the AI features
The AI makes mistakes. It can pick the wrong category, split an amount wrongly, or draw a conclusion that does not fit your situation.
- Review entries before saving. When the AI cannot identify a category it flags it in red and asks — it does not guess
- Reports are not financial, tax, or investment advice. They are observations derived from your own numbers. Consult a professional for decisions that matter
- AI is provided by Google Gemini; its availability and behaviour are outside our control
6. Acceptable use
Do not:
- Share one account among several people, or resell access
- Call AI features programmatically at volume (quotas apply; exceeding them triggers a temporary block)
- Attempt to bypass subscription checks, disrupt the server, or access other users' data
- Upload unlawful content
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this. Where possible we will notify you first and give you a chance to export your data.
7. Availability
- This is a service run by one person. Uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed
- Maintenance or faults may cause temporary outages. Recording entries happens on your device and works offline
- If the service is ever shut down permanently, we will give at least 30 days' notice and keep export working throughout that period
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service. In any case, total liability is capped at what you actually paid in the preceding 12 months.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Changes
If these terms change materially we will update the date on this page and notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means acceptance. If you disagree, cancel and request a refund under the Refund Policy.
10. Governing law
The laws of Taiwan (R.O.C.).
